Think falls among seniors aren’t a big problem? Think again.

Falls cause more accidental deaths than all other causes COMBINED.

Over 3/4 of all falls occur in or near the home.

According to the CDC, 55% of all unintentional injury deaths among adults aged 65 and over in 2012-2013 were due to falls. The frequency has doubled since 2000.

Handrails prevent falls. That’s why the ADA requires continuous handrails on both sides of staircases in all publicly accessible places. Yet proper, functional handrails are almost never found where they are needed most…in the homes of those at risk. PromenAid is the first and only functional handrail for the home.
