Traditional systems required handrail brackets be screwed directly to the handrail—perfectly aligning with the studs in the wall. It was a complicated process.
But since our inception, we’ve continued to work tirelessly to create transformative handrail bracket solutions that resolved these types of handrail installation challenges.
And with our new handrail bracket types, installing a continuous, stylish, and versatile handrail is now easier than ever before.

What are Handrail Brackets?
Handrail brackets are the angled support system that connects the handrail piping to the wall. The brackets hold not only the weight of the handrail but also the weight of those using them for support and stability.
The success or failure of a handrail system preventing falls rests almost entirely on the bracket system, which is why it’s important to know which handrail bracket types or the strongest and most durable.
Traditional Handrail Brackets

Installation of Traditional Handrail Brackets
Traditional handrail brackets typically need to be screwed directly into the handrail and aligned precisely with the studs in the wall. This method can be challenging, as these brackets must be installed in specific locations where the studs are available, limiting flexibility in handrail placement. The visible screws can also detract from the overall aesthetic, and the fixed nature of traditional brackets doesn’t allow for easy adjustment.
Promenaid’s Pivoting Bracket: A Step Ahead
Unlike traditional handrail brackets, Promenaid’s Pivoting Bracket is designed with a unique advantage—thanks to the patented Channelgrip™ railing system. This system allows the bracket to be placed anywhere along the channel, giving you the flexibility to adjust the handrail’s position without needing to align with wall studs. The bracket can also pivot to the proper angle, ensuring easy installation and perfect alignment, no matter the setup.
With Promenaid’s Pivoting Bracket, you can enjoy a sleek, modern handrail that’s easy to install and adjust, all while maintaining a strong, secure connection. This patented innovation offers greater versatility and a cleaner look compared to traditional systems.
Promenaid’s Sprocketlock Bracket System
Promenaid’s Sprocketlock™ technology offers a flexible way to install handrails on a variety of surfaces. The system works with several types of brackets, each designed for different mounting needs — including walls, glass, posts, and half-walls.
Attach To Surfaces With Sprocketlock™ Technology
The Sprocketlock™ system uses a round sprocket that attaches to the wall, glass, or other surface with just a single bolt. Once the sprocket is in place, the bracket connects to it and can rotate to almost any angle. This flexibility makes it easier to line up the handrail, even if the wall or surface isn’t perfectly straight, or if the studs don’t line up exactly where you need them.
The 90 locking grooves lock into the teeth on the sprocket, creating a secure bracket. Because the sprocket is fast-mounting and only needs a single bolt to be secured to a stud, there is more flexibility and versatility in its placement options.
Handrail Bracket Types with Sprocketlock™

Sprocketlock™ brackets lock into the Channel Grip railing in much the same way that the pivoting brackets did, but with greater flexibility and convenience. Once they are inserted into the railing, a vinyl extrusion is placed in the channel to create a smooth, round profile.
L Shape — wall-mounted/glass-mounted

The Channelgrip L-bracket’s round base attaches directly to the sprocket attached to the stud. These brackets can be glass-mounted as well, allowing for even more customization and versatility.
Once the sprocket is attached to the wall, the L-bracket locks into the channel on the handrail, and the teeth bite into the extrusion to prevent lateral motion. The two pieces of the round base come together and are secured with socket screws that are hidden from view, furthering the sleek profile.
T Shape — top-mounted/ half-wall mounted /post-mounted

The T-shaped bracket is made for mounting handrails on top of half-walls, posts, or similar surfaces. It locks into the sprocket just like the other brackets, but it also grips the channel on the bottom of the handrail, holding everything securely in place.
The grooves on the sprocket keep the bracket from rotating, so the handrail stays solid and doesn’t shift over time. This type of bracket is especially helpful for handrails that sit on top of shorter walls or attach directly to a post at the end of a railing section.
Channel Grip Piping: The Difference Maker

The channelgrip aluminum piping makes the Sprocketlock handrails brackets incredibly easy to install.
You simply insert the brackets into the patented Promenaid Channel Groove system, lock them into place, and secure them with two hidden socket screws.
Once the brackets are installed, you fill the Channel with the vinyl anti-slip extrusion to complete the smooth, round profile.
The easy process makes all the difference in terms of both installation and interior design.
Only Use The Best Type of Handrail Brackets
The superior Sprocketlock™ bracket system combines the incredible benefits of the pivoting circular profile with the ease and strength of the innovative sprockets.
This system provides a DIY-friendly, modular, customizable design that looks beautiful without sacrificing safety or structural integrity.
